Bare Metal / Monitoring

Metrics

Monitor server traffic, individual bond members, power consumption, and hardware sensors.

Open Baremetal Servers in the cloud console, select your server, and open Metrics.

Traffic and interfaces

Choose 1h, 24h, 7d, or 30d to change the Traffic graph and Interfaces table. Ingress is traffic received by your server; egress is traffic sent from it.

The Traffic card shows current ingress and egress, the 95th-percentile egress rate, and transferred data for the selected range. Current rates are the latest measured interval averages. Hover over a graph to inspect its values and time.

The Interfaces table shows ingress and egress now / avg, plus a traffic graph for each interface. An LACP bond appears above its indented physical members:

RowWhat it measures
Bond, such as bond0The sum of its members' traffic
Each bond memberTraffic on that individual physical port
Standalone interfaceTraffic on that single port

Compare member rows when investigating a drop or uneven traffic. The bond row already includes its members; adding them again would double-count traffic. Select Manage to open the server's Network page and review its interface configuration and Virtual Networks.

Gaps and unavailable readings mean data was not measured, rather than zero traffic. A bond total can be unavailable when a member's data is missing. The transferred total may be partial when the selected range contains gaps.

Metered usage

Metered usage shows outbound and inbound transfer, with outbound marked Counted against the plan's included egress allowance. It uses a separate recent window of up to 30 calendar days, shortened for a newer server; the graph's range selector does not change it.

This recent-window total is not the calendar-month invoice total. Missing days can make it partial. Check Billing for charges: usage accumulates during the UTC calendar month and is invoiced on the 1st of the following month. The traffic chart's 95th percentile is a monitoring statistic, not the transfer allowance.

Power and hardware sensors

The Power card shows current consumption in watts and average, minimum, and maximum consumption over the stated interval. Historical power-consumption graphs cover up to 30 days, so you can compare consumption over time. PSU badges show reported power-supply health and state.

Temperature & fans shows the sensors and fan readings reported by the hardware. Switch between °C and °F for temperature. Use reported health and temperature thresholds when investigating a problem; the fan gauge's scale is not a hardware-rated limit.

Readings depend on the server's management-controller capabilities. An unsupported or unavailable reading does not mean zero consumption or a healthy sensor. Current power readings can be unavailable while the server is offline, although supported PSU health readings can remain available.

For persistent Warning or Critical hardware readings, contact support with the server, sensor name, value, and time.
