A dedicated server in Amsterdam gives you a whole physical machine in one of Europe’s densest interconnection markets: our facility is carrier-neutral, and our second network presence at Nikhef picks up much of our local connectivity, through the exchanges there and over direct private interconnects with other networks.
Pick Amsterdam when your users are in the Benelux, the UK, Germany or the Nordics: a short hop to London and Frankfurt, and well-connected to Paris.
Our servers are in a carrier-neutral facility in the Amsterdam metro, close to Schiphol airport, and we run a second network point of presence at Nikhef, at Amsterdam Science Park, where much of our local connectivity comes in over the exchanges and direct private interconnects. The exact server facility is shared with customers on request.
Our peering policy is open and registered on PeeringDB under AS55285, so peering requests are welcome. Most of our local peering comes in at Nikhef, one of the exchange’s founding sites, both across the exchanges there and over direct private interconnects, and the exchanges we are currently on are listed on that PeeringDB record alongside our IRR AS-SET, AS55285:AS-ALL. Send us your ASN and we will take it from there.
From Amsterdam you get a short hop to London and Frankfurt, and well-connected reach to Paris, with a longer but still workable path to Stockholm and Madrid. Run a live test from the Amsterdam node in our looking glass for current numbers.
Every server ships dual-stacked, with IPv4 and IPv6 live from first boot, so IPv6 is not a request you file or an add-on you pay for. If you hold your own address space, we will announce your prefixes from AS55285 instead, once you send a Letter of Authorisation and your IRR and RPKI records are in order.
Amsterdam currently stocks dual Intel Xeon Gold configurations. AMD EPYC and Ryzen builds can be shipped to Amsterdam on request; contact us for lead time.
Stock configurations are imaged and handed over with a root shell in under a minute. Custom builds are quoted and delivered within one to three business days.
Private networking connects your own servers to each other over our internal network rather than the public internet, so database replication and node-to-node traffic never touch a public interface. You create and manage those networks yourself, along with the edge firewall rules in front of them. Amsterdam is a single transatlantic hop from our New Jersey site, which is the usual second leg for an EU plus US East pair.
Yes. Inline, always-on mitigation is included on every server across our network at no extra charge, with tuned application and game profiles.
Yes. The facility is in the Netherlands and the hardware is single-tenant, so your data is processed in the EU. The Serverside entity named in our terms and on your invoice is the contracting party; ask us for our data processing agreement.
The Amsterdam facility holds ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 5001, SOC 1, SOC 2 and PCI-DSS, and operates under GDPR. It runs on 100% renewable energy with ASHRAE-standard temperature and humidity SLAs. Ask us if you need the current certificates for an audit.
