Deutsche Börse runs the T7 matching engines for Eurex and Xetra in Equinix FR2 in Frankfurt-North. Our servers are in Equinix FR5 on the other side of the city, so this is a cross-town path, not the same building. From our Frankfurt router on 14 September 2026 we measured under 1 ms round trip across the city, 100 samples with no loss, to a public network probe in Frankfurt. That is a path measurement over our own AS55285 network, not a co-location cage and not an exchange session. The looking glass runs the same ping from the Frankfurt node against any address you enter.

Frankfurt is Europe’s largest data center market and the major cloud on-ramps are concentrated there, with our router in the carrier-neutral Equinix FR5 facility. A cross-connect puts your equipment, or the on-ramp you already buy, directly onto our fabric with no middle mile in between. We offer remote hands for the times you cannot be on site, so tell us the provider and the building and we will confirm what is involved.

Frankfurt is the shorter path into the DACH region, Central Europe and points east: well-connected to Zurich, Milan and Warsaw. Amsterdam reaches the Benelux, the UK and the Nordics better, and it holds stocked configurations today, while Frankfurt builds are quoted to order. The two sites are a short hop apart, which makes running both a practical dual-site setup rather than a compromise.

You see the machine from firmware onwards, fix what broke and get back in yourself. The hardware is in Frankfurt am Main and it is single-tenant, so your data is processed in Germany under the GDPR and the BDSG rather than shipped to another jurisdiction. The Serverside entity named in our terms and on your invoice is the contracting party; ask us for our data processing agreement if you need it on file. Frankfurt configurations are quoted and built to order, so raise the residency requirement when you ask for the quote.
