Chris Johnson is the chief financial officer of Serverside.com and Host Havoc. A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with a Master of Accounting from Carleton University, he leads finance across both companies: accounting policy, tax, and the financial analysis behind major business decisions.
Before stepping into the CFO role he spent almost seven years as Host Havoc's business and financial analyst, using SQL, Power Query and Excel to turn raw hosting data into financial information, and working directly with the CRA to determine how HST applies to the company's business model. His analysis has informed decisions up to and including an acquisition.
Chris trained in audit and assurance at PwC and KPMG, performing financial audits under US GAAP, IFRS and ASPE for public and private clients, including PCAOB-regulated engagements. He is bilingual in English and French and based in Ottawa, Canada.
