Understand the billing cycle
Usage-based billing: charges accumulate during the calendar month (UTC) and appear on an invoice on the 1st of the following month. For example, October usage is invoiced on November 1. This includes hourly service charges and any applicable traffic overages. The amount accruing during the month is usage so far, not an invoice for a prepaid month.
Prepaid plans: monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual plans are invoiced in advance. We provision a new service after its invoice is paid in full. Traffic overages are billed afterward.
Hourly billing is available to approved organizations. The cycles available for your organization and plan appear during ordering. Review the invoice for the final total, applicable taxes, and payment due date.
Use Metrics to review recent traffic and included egress. Its recent usage window is separate from the calendar-month invoice period.
Turning a server off does not cancel its subscription. Review the service under Billed Services and the terms shown for it before making cancellation changes. Contact support if you are unsure when a cancellation takes effect.
