Your Dedicated Server, Your Rules

Q: What does dedicated actually mean?

It means bare metal: the whole physical machine is provisioned for you, not a virtual slice of shared hardware. The ports are yours too: 20 Gbps over two 10 Gbps ports, with 2× 100 Gbps available to order.

Q: Is DDoS protection included?

Yes, at no extra cost. Always-on mitigation runs in front of every server, on the network we operate ourselves.

Q: Which locations can I deploy a server in?

Use the location filter on the catalogue above to see what's in stock in each metro, or browse the individual location pages for more detail on each site.

Q: Can I choose my own operating system?

Yes. Deploy a one-click Linux or Windows image, upload your own ISO, or boot ephemerally over iPXE with no disk writes.

Q: Can I connect servers in different datacentres privately?

Yes. Extend a private network's VLAN between our datacentres from the console or by API, at no cost. A web cluster can then run in two metros, its servers sharing sessions, cache and uploads over one layer 2 network while each site serves visitors.

Q: Where are your UK and European servers?

UK customers are served from London and Amsterdam, both on our own network (AS55285).

How bare metal compares to cloud instances

AS55285 · 7 metros · 6 Amsterdam exchanges

Our own network, not resold capacity

Your servers ride AS55285, the network we own and run ourselves. We control the routes, the peering and the fix when something breaks, so the person who can change it is the person you are talking to.

Built for uptime

Multihomed in every metro, on dual uplinks across separate switches
Local exchange and private interconnect capacity at 6 exchanges in Amsterdam
Always-on DDoS mitigation inline in front of every server
Dual stack IPv4 & IPv6 network, bring your own IP, or set up a BGP session with our routers

Measure it yourself

Our looking glass runs ping, traceroute and BGP lookups from 5 metros: Amsterdam, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New Jersey. Measure the path from where you actually sit, before you order.
